A 3-year grassroots padyatra walking into communities to connect informal and migrant workers with dignity, opportunities, and long-term support systems.
India's economy is built on the strength of workers — construction workers, factory workers, delivery workers, domestic workers, sanitation workers, gig workers, and millions of informal labourers who keep our society functioning every single day.
Yet millions continue to live without dignity, awareness, financial inclusion, or access to opportunities. Despite multiple government schemes, the biggest challenge remains last-mile access, trust, and continuous support.
Walk for Dignity bridges this gap by physically walking into communities, listening to workers directly, and building sustainable support systems that continue beyond the journey itself.
"Workers build our cities, industries, homes, and economy. It is time we build dignity, access, and opportunities for them."
Engage directly with workers to understand their needs, migration realities, working conditions, wages, and safety concerns through community conversations and listening circles.
Organize awareness camps, government scheme guidance, employment support, financial literacy, digital literacy, cyber fraud awareness, and documentation support.
Develop a grassroots Saathi ecosystem by onboarding local youth, workers, and community leaders who can continue supporting workers after the journey.
Capture worker stories, migration journeys, and ground realities through videos, interviews, reports, and photography to influence systems and amplify worker voices.
Follow the live route across India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh as Naresh Sijapati walks 11,111 km for worker dignity.
Every step of this journey is powered by people who believe workers deserve dignity, opportunities, and support.
